FlippingBook Publisher - Product Guide

PAGE 80

Why does Publisher add empty pages to my document? The first page of your document defines the size of the other pages of your document. Though sometimes subsequent pages may be twice as wide as the first page: These wide pages are by default detected automatically and will appear as two opposite pages in your publication. The consequence is that FlippingBook Publisher sometimes has to add a blank page. This blank page ensures that the ‘wide’ pages will in fact appear on together in your book. However, it is possible to change this during the import: ◆ When the window called Import Document appears, click the Cogwheel button after conversion profile. A new window appears called PDF import profile ◆ If you select the checkbox Detect wide pages then ◆ If you unselect the checkbox Split wide pages then FlippingBook publisher keeps wide pages together, but may insert empty pages. This is the default setting. ◆ If you select the checkbox Split wide pages then FlippingBook Publisher does not add empty pages, but wide pages may be split over multiple pages. ◆ If you unselect the checkbox Detect wide pages then wide pages are handled as normal pages (this will likely add white borders to make them match in size with the other pages)
